Bone deposit or ossuary and Grahame Walsh examines unusual painted Cranes
Where you find Wandjina paintings one often finds a bone deposit or ossuary. In the photograph above left, as well as bones, can be seen an intact bark parcel, proving that this site was still being used in the not too distant past. You can see Grahame Walsh above beside a very unusual scene of painted Cranes.
Recording Bradshaw Paintings
Many of the Bradshaw paintings are above the reach of a 6 foot man. The tiny painting is in the middle of the photograph above left. To the right Robert Hefner III, the Bradshaw Foundation President, sketching a Dingo painting at a Wandjina site north of Mount Elizabeth Station. Below can be seen a celection of Wandjina paintings.
