Comments
This panel is on a vertical rock wall. The art is well preserved and the single human figure in this panel is 40cm long. There are no other paintings at this site.
Interpretation The single Bradshaw in this panel is a red brown colour. The head is in profile view and looking towards the left. The body is in profile view; slightly turned to face towards the left. The legs, arms and body are realistically proportioned. The Bradshaw has a long, dunce cap-like headdress with many accoutrements. The headdress is leaning out towards the right. It has a feather? mounted either side of the base of the headdress. The headdress has a pompom tip and feathers are mounted from where this tip meets the main body of the headdress. Another feather? protrudes from underneath where the pompom tip meets the main body of the headdress. The Bradshaw is upright but the knees are slightly bent. The arm furthest towards the left is bent at 90? and holds a boomerang. There is a whisk-shaped object hanging from the armpit of the arm. The other arm is straight and is holding two whisks. Both arms have a tuft armband on the upper arm. There is no hand detail. The Bradshaw has a paunched belly. There are no waist or leg decorations. The Bradshaw has slipper feet that are both pointing left. The tuft armbands, extensively decorated headdress, boomerang and armpit decoration are features typical of 'Sash Bradshaws'.
