The Journey of Mankind Genetic Map explores the global migration of our ancestors using genetic evidence, headed by Professor Stephen Oppenheimer. Further research is required both in areas of the world where no studies have been carried out to date, and in the science of genetics itself. Funded in part by the Bradshaw Foundation, this emerging evidence reinforces the Genetic Map and is now being published in the leading scienftic journals.

The forgotten art of ancient Uzbekistan

Currently we know of more than 140 locations of rock art sites in the territory of Uzbekistan. The overwhelming majority of these are ‘petroglyphs’ (engraved or pecked images in stone) which spread up from the southern borders of the country to the north and across the Tien. Their presence in a variety of ecological zones points towards to cultural diversities and, to some extent, testifies to their antiquity; for instance, in arid areas people probably created them when the land was less drier than today.
